i recently purchased the ttm57
i was running 2.0 on the SL1 with my vestax

i plugged up all the wires to the 57 but when i open serato up it
says that the hardware is disconnected? what could be the cause
of this? oh im on a macbook pro too

mac or pc?
if your on a pc you need to install drivers/software that are located in the ssl file
only takes a few clicks and youll be away

If i'm getting this right:
You used to use a SL1 and now you have 57 which will not work if you jack you laptop into the 57 correct?

I have very little experience with Macs however i'm sure its somewhat similar to PC. My guess is that you will need to reinstall the drivers. This DOES NOT mean that you need delete and reinstall SSL, just the drivers as they differ slightly betwen the SL1 and the 57. To do this, simply plug in the 57 and turn it on (you should see a blue light glowing out of the mixer if the usb is correctly plugged in) . Run the install for SSL, you may get some pop-up asking whether you want to modify or repair, choose repair and follow the prompts, hopefully that should fix it.
