Im having a heck of a time trying to decide on which one I want to get. So I thought i'd jump on here in hopes of getting some feedback. Basically I was wondering how the sound quality is between these 2 mixers...Does the pioneer have good sound quality? Also, can the effects on the ttm 57 be used when playing standard vinyl ? Or do the effects only work when the mixer is hooked up to serato ? Also, how are the effects on the ttm 57 compared to the effects in the pioneer ? Feel free to share any insight about these 2 mixers and thanks in advance to everyone that leaves a reply-

The 57 sl effects and those extra buttons for cue or loop etc only work for Serato software, therefore I do not think the standard vinyl will work. You can definately play vinvyl no problem just dont expect the mixer to take your record off the needle grab a new record , put it on the turntable using the knob on a standard vinyl record. Technology is not THAT great yet :P
as far as the VERSUS goes, I can't say which is better in sound. I do know both are reputable companies, further research and actual practice time may seal the deal. I own a sl myself. When I first got it I loved it to death. It deleted the serato box which means less wiring and it also had buttons so I don't have to touch the labtop.
its been about 5 months, I don't even use the buttons no more and I want my ecler hak380 back. At the same time I can't get rid of it because I just love not wiring the serato its such a small thing but such a pain in the butt for me.

Actually, the ttm57sl echo/filter effects do work when using the mixer to play regular vinyl or CDs. But unless it's plugged into a laptop, you can't visually adjust the parameters...

No, they are the same effects, just without being plugged in you cannot visually see the parameters to adjust, which makes them very difficult to use unless you practice a lot and memorize the settings.

Nono, I'm referring to the effects that are builtin into the software right now (the ones that don't even require a TTM57, implmented as of 2.0), and the ones that are loaded into the TTM57's DSP.
Guess I wasn't too clear :o)
