Itch vs Scratch Live library

Couin 3:39 PM - 15 June, 2010
Hi,

I'm about recording all my vinyls into AIF format.
After recording, I cut start and end blanks and I tag them with Tag&Rename, and import art cover.
Then I add them in Scratch Live 2.0 Library and I force them to analyze (Wierd, if I just clic on Analyze, SSL 2.0 doesn't analyze the news files, but I will open a new thread for that).
So, I have BPM, waveforms for each AIF files.

I copy all files and Scratch Live database on my Itch computer (where I have Scratch Live too).
In Itch, my library appears (even if album arts are not displayed, but before SL2.0 too), but waveforms are built on each song first load. If I lauche Scratch Live, I have my waveforms already built.

Are there two waveform tags (one for itch one for SL) ?

Cheers
Couin

its all the same... i actually got my waveforms done in SL and used them only in itch..

maybe being aif makes a difference? i dont think it should though...

the only difference between SL and ITCH crates/library is the smart crates in SL. those wont work in itch YET... im guessing that will be in the itch 2.0 release.

So, I tried with a mp3 file.
I analyzed it with SSL 2.0 on one machine, and copied on the Itch lbrary of my Itch machine.
The waveform autofills on load, even it should be already built (by SSL 2.0).

Plus, have we a chance one day to have the Length information saved in the tags of the file ?
Actually, we have to load or build files to get the length, even if already built on another machine.

Sounds like a bug... or it has to do with the fact that the SL version and the Itch version you are using are using different overviewbuilder code.

I'm agree with you.
