I DONT LIKE IT...I liked the old way MUCH better. Mabye im just use to the old way but i have trouble seeing the dates and everytime i click a button to download the vid the buttons reorganise and it makes it confusing to which i have and have not downlaoded. Also when i got the ones posted today half had a green arrow saying i clicked it and the other half downloaded with no arow. Also the screen reformatted itself twice. Mabye theres a learning curve but so far i miss the old way

Too bad you can't click more than 6 and have them load up in the queuer. I pressed like 8 and the 6, 7th files got skipped and only got the last one. Don't click more than you can download at a time.

I do like it though, you have no idea how mnay times I would download dupes because when they put the xtendz in I would get the singles again without realizing I had them already.

I love it when the best gets better, great job on the site.

I really like it =) alot easier to know what you have downloaded before, my only complain will be that we are getting more singles weekkly than before =( i dont mind to wait for ext and snipz cause most of the singles i just skip then or delete them after the ext is out.

I feel ya, let us know what browser your using etc....it might be something simple. Also you want to maximize your window (we have to fix this in the flash portion)

Also you can arrange the columns in the order you want.....that might help things.

At times I see how it might feel this way, but its not so, if anything your getting more content then normal, which just happens to be singles.

I love Smashvidz and just accepted the 6 at a time thing.
So i looked at issue about 6 downloads... Seems it's a browser thing.

Here's what i found for Firefox users:
1. in the address type 'about:config' (without the quotes)
2. accept the warning :-)
3. scroll down or filter on 'network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server'
4. double click and change the value to whatever you want your max to be.

viola!

I'm sure there is an IE/Chrome/Safari, etc way to do this too. I like Firefox so i'm happy

Remember this will not speed up your downloads but makes it nice to bank up like 10 and walk away.

i got a quick question regarding the uploads, though ...

why are some videos always marked as "new" although they were on the site for some time? is these newly encoded with different settings, or what's the deal with this? unsure wether i should download them again ...

It was on firefox on my MBP, it was working a bit better last night, im going to see if its just something i need to get used to!

I've seen it on a few videos, but paid it no mind and just previewed thetracks.

I have been using this for a while and its worked perfect for me. Not sure about the 6 - 7 limitation for some. I have added up to 2 pages to the que with no issues at all.

yes adding to the que will work, but if you just click on the file it will use the standard download windows in firefox. I can right click and choose add to downthemall and I can put them in a queue, but normal clicking does not.

i'm doing 45 right now so far i'm done 17 of them, they all came thru good, checked um from start to finish

smash has a que, where, i'm blind didn't see it

they did have on the svqueuer.

Well this is exactly what I do - I only click on them - then from that click they get added to the que - I would go nutz having to right click everything.

Maybe you should consider uninstalling the add-on then reinstalling or check the preferences - maybe they are not set. - just a thought.

I was told Interscope is seeking feedback for their videos (ie: rating them,etc). So if you see a file with Rate to download or whatever click on the preview and then give it 1-5 stars, then the d/l links appear :)

I used that last year to mix into down (jay sean), but it was a PO version.

Only when the label requests it. There's really no point on having it on every video as the label is usually on the next track and the video is just the cherry on top. But as usual we will do things in a unique way.

Yes, we replace with new ones that a. Might look better or b. Most likely is a widescrren version, we're still converting from our old format.

Yeah, I got some ooooold ones and I am too lazy to make my own edit of old stuff and still play your big ass text ones.

Once the new ones come in, I compare and usually dump the old ones.

Side Note: Only problem i have had was once i have clicked on a video a message has popped up and said there was an error and a message has been sent to the administrator or something to that extent. I still get my download file, but the message comes up and i have to click the okay/close.

I am sure all the videos that are showing as new prior to the date they changed to the download center are exactly the same. Probably was a different tracking before. Just ignore anything before you started downloading on the new. If it's updated itblloks like it moves up higher, even for just one mix. I just checked some from April and they are the same.

Marx, I have gotten one error the whole time and I sent you an email a while back on it with the specifics.

What I think may be going on at times is that the site is updating (sameday) and the file is not complete but the options to view/download are there so it may result in an error/broken link.

Example I downloaded Video X at 7:50 then came back at 7:55 and hit refresh and another version popped up that was not there 5 minutes ago - (just an example)
What this caused is for me to click the same file again and again due to the error above, the counter is still counting during this time even though your unsuccessful, and it timed me out for 90 days for that specific file even though I never downloaded it due to what appeared to be a broken link. Anyway that was the one and only time that ever happened - since then it has worked great for me.

I love those green checks - especially when you put up new versions it keeps me in check - I was doing the old fashion way and dropping into folder and letting the OS tell me I had duplicates at times.

if there a limit on how many vidz you can download at once....i used to be able to almost download 30 vidzs at once...now only around 10. any more than that and if gives me an error message

Managed to get the header stuck up too high in the browser by dragging it.
Once I dropped it, there is no way to grab it again.

The preview header and [x] are above the tab browser and got dropped there out of view by accident.
Normally with a window you can drag it around to move it.
It appears that only the header is capable of this and I still cannot access it to move the preview window.
Try this, grab the header and drag it above the viewing area in FF or WE and release, then see if you can move that window.

I just checked this from my work machine and have the mobility here but only because I can grab the header. Maybe if you made the whole window a live grab point I could correct this problem.

what happens to me is i click 7 vidz it freezes on the 6th one, when the 6th is done the 7th starts,than i click as many as i want to download, i do 10 @ a time

We let the users decide which to download as some play on projectors and actually perfer fullscreen. Trust me we've talked about cutting out fullscreen together. Maybe we will take a poll on the matter. Not here though on our blog.

Still seeing some odd issues on Safari, where the "Download Engine" will apparently stop working correctly, and reloading the page gives me the old version of the "latest 100".

Also took me awhile to realize that "preview to rate" was actually a needed means to download a few recent videos (on first glance, my assumption was that it was just an "advance preview" with the video to be posted soon).

Other than those little things, no complaints here :-).

The latest 100, maybe cache? That's really weird, you shouldn't bee seeing that at all.

Rate before preview is only turned if the label requests it.

why would you wanna download 30 videos at the same time?
its hard to believe people dont understand how bandwidth works!
just spend a lil more time in the site while doing previews!!
i like to do 4 videos at one time and usually takes a min or 2 to get them then click for more!

Is there a way to let the preview window to be viewed on a second monitor?
I use a second monitor and would love to have the ability to run full screen when previewing on that side.

When you drag the preview it disappears anywhere but on the main screen.

The only way would be to have it open in another window which would not be good for people without a 2nd monitor. Maybe we can add a popout option on the preview window itself. Will check on it.

Just got word from web dev that it won't be a problem. I'm sure you will see it in the next week or so.

Just spoke to my cable company and im not having any modem issues at all. Did a speed test and im good to DL 24MB per sec. Why is it taking me 13 minutes to download one single from the website? It used to be much faster for me when I first signed up! Im using firefox browser and a mac if that helps.

Don't know what your problem is mate. All cable speeds should be more then sufficient to handle quick downloading. Are you downloading multiple at a time?

I tried to just DL one video at a time. No zip packs or anything, just the clean version of nelly ride wit me for example. I got about 130Kbps DL speed which doesn't seem right to me. I swear that it was much faster. I thought it could have been busy online last night with the servers so I tried again and no go.

Its not a browser issue. If someone else is having an issue I'm sure they are in your area. Its designed to hit the closest server for the best speeds. This is y we are performing a trace route.

I had some issues and had to start DL the videos again but got this error. Anyway I can DL these again or am I screwed?

Anyone else use Internet Download Manager? (IDM). I use it because I can que up the downloads I want & just let my PC go to work. It downloads 4 at a time for me. I'm downloading at about 16mbps from Chicago right now...

Stemz hasn't been released yet. Basically its so you can use one video along with multiple audio files.
