57 SL new version?

j beatz 8:55 PM - 30 May, 2010
Hi, everyone

As the actual 57 it's been in the market since a few years ago, I would like to know if Rane is planning to release a new version of the mixer. Does anybody know something about that? I'm about to sell my SL3 to buy a 57, but if a new model is coming I prefer to wait.
I also have been thinking about to keep my SL3 and buy a 56s. Apart of the software controller on the 57, what y'all think about that? Where I live there's no Rane dealer, so I got no chance to try them.

There are no plans for a new 57. And if there are plans we wouldn´t know about them :-)

Keep in mind a soundcard is more portable than a mixer. Why don´t you just get a used 56 mixer and an akai lpd 8?

Rane have made some minor changes recently to the 57 so make sure you get the latest revision...

I got a feeling (not founded by any facts) that we may see an 'TTm58' next year at NAMM as I dont think they will release it this year as their focus will be on the TTm68.
I could be totally wrong though ;-)

Surely the "next 58" will have the SL3 sound card instead of the SL1 in the 57, isn't it?
And maybe it'll have The Bridge on board controls... oO (I will have to ask to the genie of the lamp... XD)

^ too soon. Give it 2 years before you see that.. just my 2c. they've been busting their asses on the bridge which isn't even 100% yet. too soon

Yeah, I know that probably you're right, but as boabmatic, I think that there's something new coming in the 57. Apart of the SL3 sound card, that would be the most logic step, I don't know what else could be, but it's a feeling...

They came with the 68 and upgraded de 56, so maybe it's turn for the 57...
