What's so special about a FACEPLATE on a MIXER?

Doe it slow you down or something?

well they faceplate "layout" needs to be speedy, clutter free and easy to find your way around be feel. that's more of a layout concern, rather than a faceplate concern

faceplates either look cool or they don't. that's what makes them special. looking cool or not.

Screw fancy faceplates... it's all about the tons of bright flashy lights, lots of knobs, switches and faders. THAT'S when you look cool! :)
