Platter moving slightly up and down?????

Platter moving slightly up and down?????

Just wondering if this is normal. I have some brand new numark ttx's and I was looking at my record from a verticle angle and it was moving up and down slightly. I thought my record was warped but then i looked at the platter. It seems that both platters are moving slightly up and down. Is this normal?

There will be vertical movement to a degree, but should be minor and it shouldn't be jerky. This was an issue on the vestax PDX's, because of the way the platter sat on the spindle. It had 2 screws holding the platter down, but gave it a V-point for the platter to see saw on. I'm not sure about numarks, but on technics you can usually fix it be getting a new spindle for $30.

Well my one Technic does the same thing but then again it is around like 8 years old. The thing is its shitty to scratch on because since it does move offset or wobbly looking when you try to scratch it can fuck up your needle movement while moving it back in forth in a scratch, but if yor just playing it normally it is alight, it my oppinion IT IS NOT NORMAL!!

it only moves up and down very slightly but Im wondering if its defective or wtf....both of them do it. Anyone wanna verify plz?

Vestax tt's were known for the problem after heavy usage.

it bearly moves maybe like less then a centimeter but it still does it........ Anyone whos got some ttx's wanna test it out and check to see and make sure im not being anal about it?????
