Mixer decision...help

What up fam,

I current got the 56 and have been looking at the Pioneer 909.

My current setup is 1210's, 56, SSL1, Kontrol x1. I'm really digging the effects on the 909, & but I'm just hesitant to give up my 56. It has preformed flawless and is built like a tank.

I never really used effect until 2.0 was released. I have been having a blast with them but there just are not up to par with Pioneers.

I dont know if I should just keep the 56 and get an effects unit or get the 909. I'm leaning towards the 909 because I running out of room for my setup.

Anybody with the 909 like to chime in with there experience it.

I would keep 56 and buy some kind of effect unit like. Like korg kp3. That's really good value for money.

I went from a 56 to a 909 last year because of the effects. Now I have a 909 for my road setup and I pickuped a 57 for my home setup. If the 2 companies would get together and combine the mixers (rane faders, pioneer effects, ect) it would be the greatest mixer ever made.

Don't forget the effects in SSL can always be updated now. They are only the first release so they can easily be improved later on.

I thought about this as well. I have the X1 controller in my setup now, it works, but the pre fade effects aren't that great.

If you need them post fader, definitely get a seperate EFX unit or the mixer you were looking at.
I thought you were only referring to the quality of the effects.

I love my 909 the efftects on it are great, only downside is the 2 channels.

My home set up is the 800 and the effects on that are good but not on par with the 909

The cheapest I seen it was like $1000, but the website seemed shady. I'll probably end up selling my 56 in the next couple of weeks, so in the end I'll probably be only coming out of pocket for about half.
