no sound when NS7 disconnected

Has anyone had the problem of no audio with the NS7 disconnected? With the Ns7 disconnected, I can load a song and the waveform scrolls below but the audio level indicators( green to red) do not show levels as music play. Do I have to select an audio device in the control panel to playback sound? I have this same issue on two windows 7 64bit computers . Thanks in advance

There's a joke in there somewhere...
When the NS7 is disconnected, you should only be able to hear the Aux-in source through the NS7's outputs. In addition, ITCH should turn itself into its offline player mode and play audio through the sound interface that the OS uses by default. If the default sound interface is disabled or it's volume is off, you won't hear it.
I've tested this in 1.5 and it worked about three weeks ago, but I haven't recently tested this.

I've had this issue and seen many others have it too. Look above the volume bars on the bottem left of your offline player. Do you see a knob? if not click in the empty space over the bars ( up diaganal left over your cue points ) and one will appear ( and stay ).

"OFFLINE MODE" is what I was trying to say.
Subdriven,
You fixed my problem, it was exactly what you said. At first there was no volume knob until I hovered over the empty spot above the led bars and dragged & clicked mouse. Thanks

i think they should keep that bug. it adds character. plus it makes people come here.
i always smile when that question gets asked. or when it happens to me.

I've had it happen to me 4 times on 1.7. It's just so easy to fix that I don't care.
