i mean come on really how much do you guys charge, i at least charge between 300-500 for a 4 hour event at a house, weddings 650-800..is this to much now in days?

that's about what i charge...$100 per hour for backyard shit, $650 & up for weddings.

i dont think hes giving enough info to make a fair case here, i guess since its in OC its kinda low but that normal for alot of areas, plus it depends how bad he needs the money and what equipment hes bringin, id go to somones house with a tapco thumb and play in internal mode all night for 88

well usually OC djs will charge more because of the area specially newport, laguna areas, maybe this guys i reffering to a cholo thug 8 ball party ey! lol

hell i charge more for those parties ^^^ since there is a higher likelyhood of my equipment turning up damaged or stolen and possibly losing a limb or having your body perforated in some way.

people get paid to do house parties? I've never done a house party due to people not willing to pay at all...

lol exactly, most people i know look at me like im batshit crazy when i ask them how much their willing to pay when they ask me to do a houseparty, ive done a few for super cheap but its cause their close friends and wouldnt have one if i didnt do it

more reason for me to move.... debating cities now... considering vegas more for the experience of living there for a bit than trying to dj however djing in vegas would be fun!

dam that's bad. house partys is non security party's so the charge is always high. I have to take my gun cuz I might have to use it. but I have a 35th party on the 10th of next month for $475. I charge $100hr and will takeoff $50 To $75 to sell it. they usually take it and sign a contract and do a deposit. I dont do nothing without a contract.

naw. and that's why I hate doing a club and they wanna pay $150 or less. Im Like I get up to $500 to do house partys that's free to get in and you charge people $20 all night and wanna pay $150 hell naw.

I've told ppl I would rather stay home and do nothing then play a house party for free. Most of my close close friends I've hooked them up with 1 time free, but they know they have to theow something my way at the next party.
