Auto year script for mp3s/mp4s?

Auto year script for mp3s/mp4s?

Basically i have a ton of tracks with no year filled in, but i really want to get these filled in! anyone know of a script or program to auto fill this in?

I know i have used to apple scripts in the past that will help fix the name / title crap, but it really screwed me over because some extended tracks and intr, acc, all got renamed. so yeah.

sorry dont know of any...i would just do it manually...but im sure theres something out there...just hope someone other than me replies to this thread

How would a Script know what Year a Tune came out? Too much inconsistency with Title and Naming to just match by the Tags to the Year. By the time you got all the Tags to match, you could just manually do it in iTunes or something by doing a "Select All" mass tag correction after you sort.

if the atrist and track were tragged correctly it shouldnt be to hard to have a script that found the year

Yep but you'd have to compare it against some type of database (i think) that included all the songs and was reasonably correct - shit even discogs has many year discrepancies.
