Internally on the computer or on an external hard drive?

Is it better to keep music Internally on the computer or on an external hard drive. I recently Dj'd a party that went so bad. I plugged in my external hard drive and when i went to drag folders to serato my computer kept freezing. When i had my music internally on my computer I never had that problem

internal.. 1 more thing you dont have to worry about.

internal... sometimes the externals unmount by themselves. That will stop the music. It happened to me before and it happened to my friend this past Saturday.

im finding out now that internal is the way to go................i just got to get a bigger internal drive......

im concerned about this, i dont have alot of experience with externals but an internal is impossible to hold all my stuff, what made your external unmount?? Was it USB or FIrewire
