Good Software to make mixes with

Okay, I'm sure this post has been done before, but I searched and couldn't find anything helpful.
I'm looking to buy some new software to make mixes and mashups with. I usually use Acid Pro but can't stand changing the tempo of a song with it, typing in number by number till it fits. It takes too long. I need something more fluid, I hear Serato's Pitch and Time is pretty good, like that you can use a slider to change the speed of a track and match beats quickly but I don't know too much else about it, like if you can do full mixes and stuff with it.
Any suggestions? Mac compatible software?

As far as Mac compatibles goe - I fully recommend dsp-quattro (after buying it I shelved Peak):
www.i3net.it
there's a demo to try it out, and apart from many other features, you can adjust pitch without affection tempo, or tempo without affecting pitch, or both - all with a slider!
