Analyze/BPM Song Files with Serato Box Plugged in

DJZobe 7:42 PM 12 March 2010
It be cool to be able to analyze/auto bpm song files
while you have serato box hooked up and running.
Is there any chance of seeing this feature in the upcoming 2.0 or future release?
As of right now the only way to analyze/BPM files is through the offline player (serato not connected). Is this because doing so would put to much work on system memory?

It be great for any DJs having to deal with request/ grabbing songs from an online store/digital pool (given if the location you play at has wi-fi internet access). Having the songs properly analyze/BPM on the fly ready to go, with out having to unplug serato to get to the offline player to analyze/BPM.

Much props on considering everyone's suggestion SL team, Keep up the good work!

How ofter would this feature be used? Besides, as you mentioned it would add more strain to the cpu and system memory. What are the risks for that?

When you guys load the track and let it analyze the full wave form it will bring up the BPM's sometimes. I cant speak for its accuracy but its something at least.

@djdannyd Yeah true that...that's what made the early version (in 20O5) hella buggy. Correct me if I'm wrong but there wasn't and offline player/ you had to Overview Build & Analyze (remember that's what it was called before) everything pluged in in the earliest versions. But if SL Team can figure out how to put software effects and all the other fancy stuff on there which is pretty is pretty taxing on memory in and of itself (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no programer/coding expert) As to how often/well let's say your on the old school/underground tip and you ain't got the latest Soljah Boy track (couldn't care less it's garbage to hard drive space/vinyl collection) person paying you for the gig request it/ ya hop on wifi spot (if the club gots it like that) go to itunes store/digital pool subscription service and grab that file, analyze it and your ready to go/ Basically this feature would be use anytime you would need a file on the fly (just slip your mind to have the song or you been in between gigs so hadn't had time to convert/or grab a copy of the song or it's a crap song but you gotta play it for the guy/or gal whose paying you for the event).
Yo your name looks really familiar, are you on any other DJ Forums?
