is is just me or does anyone else get nervous about ur laptop being so far away from u, as in catching distance, or just hovering out there in the open for anyone to "bump" into it

I wish Numark comes up with another kind of stand that brings the laptop closer and higher, while still being able to hook it up to the built-in NSFX piece.

im looking for a higher stand now....which stand is it i see in some videos thats REALLY high, i think it clamps on to a table but it goes like 3 feet up

I have an old Odyssey laptop stand that has clamps on it that can be attached....I'm not sure if back wall of the NS7 case has enough room to put them on...I'll try them this weekend and report back.

On top of the "someone tripping into the laptop" issue, I find it very inconvenient to type into my MBP with the laptop so far...plus, my beer-produced belly doesn't help either.

i was REALLY worried at my last gig cause i was setup on a table on a "stage" where people were dancin and alot of my cords were accessable to stupidity from the back

Same here in my second gig with the NS7 as I was setup very close to the dancefloor, plus the occasional people that approaches you with requests.

By the way, I use a 2x4 foldable table to put the NS7"s case on.

the worst part was at one point 1 had like 7 chicks with their hands on the table shakin their ass at the crowd and i was TORN like

Very funny...however, quite possible.

I also worry when I leave everything setup in the room and have to go out for whatever reason.

I get more concerned during Quinces and events were there are kids involved...Weddings' guests in the other hand, tend not to approach the DJ area as much compared with the other mentioned events.

I've seen a Numark laptop stand that you can set next to you instead of having it out in front of the NS7.

Something like that would be nice...but instead of being next to the case, it should be able to attach to where the current stand goes into.

im hoping numark or someone comes up with an alternative stand.
i have a gig next fri. for st. pattys so im expecting the worst as far as that goes. EH i'll throw some plastic wrap around it, might even help protect from an accidental spill ha ha!

I need to get a case soon... and yea the 300 hurts.... I've only found 2 cases and one is only 50 more and has a crazy laptop setup on it...

the most i would spend is 150................its like damn i already spent 1200 for the ns7 at least give me a break on the case

yeah i played with the ns7 this Saturday @ a Quince's and i was worried about those kids getting too close to the laptop, But thank God they didn't.
What they did do: unplugged the power cord, and request "La Bamba" wich are synonymous.
and typing on my laptop on the ns7 stand = not good for my back!
on top of the $1700 for the ns7 you still gotta pay for the case and replace the laptop stand...

i figured since i dont have renter's insurance yet another $300 in protection couldnt hurt and the $175 3yr warranty from GC only covers so much. HA
