I've opened the same M2V file in both MPEG StreamClip & also in FCP and they are both showing different frames per second - how is this possible?

The original vob (demuxed to m2v) was sourced from a PAL DVD -

MPEG Stream clip shows 25fps and
FCP shows 29.97fps

????
