Chryon standard?

Just curious, but is there a standard size or font for making your own chryons for videos? I know each pool has it's own size and such, but is there a "don't go this small," "don't use that type of font" kind of rule or rules out there? Thanks

Don't use big obnoxious chyrons and you'll be straight.
Don't make em last the entire video.

Cool. I'm using about a 18pt font, italics, and it lasts about 10.10 seconds with fade in/out. First ones I did came out kind of blurry and hard to read. Had to redo them.

point size doesn't make any sense unless we know the size of the video you're editing, an 18 point font would be tiny on an HD video, gargantuan on a 320x240 video.
I'd recommend adding your title with a little alpha, this makes it near impossible to remove and also makes it look better. your editor should handle the anti-aliasing to make the edges nice and crisp instead of all shitty and jagged.
i know it should go without saying but i've seen it happen enough times that I'll mention it,... if you're gonna use your logo make sure it has an alpha channel so you don't have a big rectangular block on the screen,

True Swift, didn't think about that. My export settings are 640x480. I didn't think about adding alpha to it. I'll look at doing that for the next ones. Thanks for the advice.
