We'd like to thank you for all your support and comments (good and bad) about our service. We were able to take it to Universal Music and show them these comments and convince them to get rid of the ringtone codes on the bottom of the video. We know it will take some time to re-encode all of our videos, but we are working at a very rapid pace to do so.

We have also taken some comments and suggestions and shortened our chyron to 10 seconds instead of 15, got rid of the word "Canada", so it says Universal Music. Our chyrons and overall look of the videos are much crisper and much less cluttered...and it was all from your feedback.

As we re-encode all the videos, we are also encoding the widescreen ones as is and encoding them all at 640x480 and 640x360 as per your requests.

We've changed encoders and upp'd the video quality as well as. We've also added keyframes.

All of these changes have come as a direct result of feedback and suggestions from this board. Thank you everyone for your help and we appreciate your feedback.

I have been following your progress and can certainly see the difference. Congratulations on all of your hard work in getting things changed. I have a few questions:

Do you have a way of letting the customers know when a video has been re-encoded...a checkbox or symbol...anything like that?

Also, and this is a very very small thought...Any chance of moving your text (xtendamix) under the rest of the text on the left side of the screen. It looks cluttered on the bottom of the screen with text all along the bottom.

The labels have asked that we don't keep the word "Xtendamix" on the left hand side as that is not an official part of the label info. As much as we disagree, considering all the battles we've won, we aren't gonna push it. Plus, it would add 5 lines of text to each video instead of 4. As for the new videos, everything new will be fixed eventually, all the new stuff moving forward , but for older stuff, for the ones that have been re-encoded, we will be sending out a bi-weekly email which will contain a running list of all the newly encoded ones. This way users will be able to redownload and overwrite the existing files. Or, you could watch the preview and see if the text has changed as the previews also get updated when the new files are encoded.

As for coming to America, we do plan on it, we just want to get all our stuff together and get everything proper before we do so. We also have a new website being designed which will accommodate more of the changes so hopefully shortly after that

IMHO it would still look better than it being on the right......
that being said I have noticed a huge improvements since the pool first started so BIG UPS on that.......
once you get a couple more issues worked out this is gonna be the top pool out there

Chyron's will be fixed on all videos from Sony, VP, EMI, Ultra and most independents....will talk to Universal and Warner about it as well.

They will now be the standard 4 lines along the left hand side, no Xtendamix on the right as per your requests :)

If your reencoding older stuff, you guys are doing your job man, listening and learning and trying to improve to be a GREAT pool to be in not just another source for things I cant find somewhere better(which you still do a good job on IMHO)

What was that animated logo (x-mix words) on your recently posted Crush - Jellyhead X-Mix video. I have seen other companies do that and please tell me that you are not moving in that direction.

No, we are not. We do the mixes for X-Mix as well. So if you go to X-Mix's site, they have video remixes which we do for them. Since I can't get Crush - Jellyhead cleared because the label no longer exists, I just used the X-Mix version with the X-Mix chyron. That only appears on Jellyhead and the Fun Factory because we can't get the permissions, but X-Mix did, so we used their video versions.

Only appears on those two.

We did it, Universal and Warner allowed us to get rid of the Chyrons too. No more videos with ringtones. We are re-encoding them 4 lines, all left justified, smaller text and no more ringtones :)

i dont know what u guys do with ur videos, but every time i try and rename any of ur videos in ssl, and play the the video... it goes back to the original naming...

Not sure what to tell you there, seems to work fine for us and other users. Let me know if it works in itunes or tag and rename

As for the new videos, there are about 300 of them already done. We will be sending out a list of the new ones so you can download them.

Basically, all the 50 Cent, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, New Kids, Aqua, T.I. Ne-Yo, Timbaland, Nelly Furtado and a couple others are done. Hang in there, a list will be out shortly and you will be able to redownload them. If you want to get them now, check the previews. If the preview is fixed, then so is the video.

whethers its a promo only or smash or xtendamix or whatever..

Ya I don't know why it's doing that...if you download them to a pc, then copy them to a mac, sometimes they chance to "read only" files. Check and see....but I haven't heard of any other problems with it.

that is what i do... i go from pc to fat 32 external to the mac external

check to see in your metadata folder on the "_ScratchLive" folder has the same file info in it. If so then delete it and re-analyize it and see if that corrects it. It could be conflicting with that info. I had to delete all my Metadata files in order to edit tags in SSL.

What about adding a Date Released label to your videos. With the remastering of all of your videos the Date Added field seems to be not as much use as before.

I think the re-encoded files should just be listed as new with a note about "Chyron Fix" or something.

This is much more than a Chyron fix. They have used new encoding techniques as well as several other upgrades to deliver a better product.
