It would be dope if I could use a M-Audio Trigger Finger or the Akai MPD 16 with SSL to control the cue points! I would serioulsy sell my MPC 1000 because I wouldn't need it anymore.
To go with it, you'd need to boost the number of cue points up to 16.
If you've seen the video of Dj Shadow, Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist in "Pushing Buttons", then you know what I'm getting at.
Seriously, that would be the next boom for the SSL product, to move it into the relm of a all-inclusive production/re-mix tool.
I already use it in that capacity right now, but I am limited by my computer's lifeless/small keys (and the accidental hitting of other keys) and the number of que points I can set.

You could snag a gamepad and globally re-map the keys. Not a real professional solution bu I see no reason why it wouldn't work. Course you're still limited to the number of cue points, but then you'd have dedicated keys at least.

Yeah, I thought about doin that. But, it's still nothing like using some mpc-ish pads to bang out the the beats.

Do you mean all 3 of them on MPC'S and not scratch live! come on give the guys at serato a break .scratch live is for dj'ing not for drum'in out your own beats.
I've started thinking that a lot of scratch live users are expecting to much from this great bit of kit,I got it because it WORKS and works well.
twelvizm how about giving fs2 a go,i think it will make you a cup of tea, make beats and keep your mum happy by phoning her once a week.
