they were made in a test run by rane but there's no plans to sell them, or so i was told. they are just being handed out to people that are sponsored by rane or serato, or friends of the companies. or so i was told. they sure are nice.

There's a few record shops that sell white timecode vinyl. They aren't officially released by Serato, but work fine with the program. I picked up some glow in the dark time code and it works perfect.

i bought 2 green rane official ssl vinyl. fun fun. they had these weird blacks specs in them though...didn't mess up the signal or anything.

i got my SSL vinyl for 25 bucks including tax.

My best friend works at GC and he mentioned the green joints to me last nite. If this comes to past then I will definitely purchase the green joints.

I find it hard to believe a big chain like GC would sell bootleg CV.

The Green control vinyls ARE official and brand new, RTI (Record Technology Incorporated) pressed them for Serato.

The White CV's were also official but the supplier that RTI gets their colored vinyl materials from ran out of some of the colors hence the reason they were soooooo limited. The word I got was that only about 500 or so were actually completed and shipped to Rane.

The green vinyl at Guitar Center is official. We were able to get a limited run of green control vinyl made and unfortunatley there is none left.

I bought 4 green today ($14.99 ea), 3 of the 4 are cut just a bit off center. Not a whole lot, but just enough to make absolute mode...um, interesting when I try to juggle. You can see the tonearm move in and out significantly while it is just playing. I'm not going to return them, I'll just keep the wobbly one(s) on my goofy scratching weak side. Hopefully if they make whites I will have a bit more luck. My regular black ones have been perfect.

Yooo.. so i own the white TCV and they are the real deal from Rane. I can not say how i got them but, it was a great day when i got them in the mail. I only have one pair. So thats why i dont use them at all..they just sit in the jacket all day.. every once in a while i pull them out for a cool gig. I know it kills not to own them because woody had them first then i got mine about a week later..For a fact i know that rane will not make white no more.. im sorry fam... i know that dj shortkut also has the white vinyl.. there video of him on the decks with white tcv..

yes, they are different. clear is translucent and white is solid. maybe you may have seen some clear ones that were on a white slipmat making them look white.

It looks nice, but in all honesty it's only as cool as it is because everyone can't get em. I like the blue ones myself, but I modded my 12's lights to blue lights so the blue vinyl goes well. To me, this and other white vinyls I have are only THAT cool when they're first out of the sleeve. After about 5 minutes it all wears off.

I'd rather have clear than white.
