Changing song back to white

I find that sometimes I will play a song for a couple seconds just to hear what it sounds like and then throw it back in the crate. Problem is, now it's been marked as played (green) and it's difficult to remember if I played it already.
Obviously, when I go to review, the song appears there. If I delete the track, the track color should switch back to white any crates that have that song.
I guess the other option would be to have a right-click menu that unmarks the track as played and removes it from the review menu as well.
Thanks!
Mike

I think that would be smart. This is kinda how MS Outlook works. There is a threshold time-limit to which you have to view a message for a certain amount of time before it becomes marked as read.

There is no way to reset one song at a time is there? Damn, SSL has to come up with right-clicking and multi-select functions for the playlist, browse and track panels!

yeah, especially when you're playing a set where you really don't know the music that well... like 80's for me. I know the songs, but I don't know the titles so I always forget if I played it already and I have to keep listening to to the tracks and then *everything* is green; drives me bonkers. The 20 seconds (or whatever configurable value) would be awesome.

Yes, please, please change this! I too play an 80's night with another DJ and if you just want to hear what the song sounds like it will be marked played(green). When the next DJ comes on there'll be a ton of green files even though not all were played on my set. And vice versa. I think 20-30 seconds is a good solution, but best if we can configure the value ourselves. Especially for previewing long mixes.

Same with the Prepare window. Just because I cued the track I don't want it to disappear inmediately.

Please allow SINGLE-song resets! They would have come very handy this past weekend.

I think I figured it out - How about it only turns green if you change the OTHER deck while you're playing it. That way only songs you mix out of turn green. I think that's the only way for SERATO to know that you really played the track.
Any arbitrary user defined duration wouldn't work all the time (long mixes, or when I step away while beat matching and then change my mind). For me the other deck swap test would work every time. And I would never have to manually reset it. Yes! This should be for the prepare window too.

Yeah, that sounds like it would be a good idea, and then like you said, no worrying about timing.

Yeah, here it is: www.scratchlive.net
It's the same idea djkevinz had, only we had a longer discussion about it. Good stuff.

I know duplicate posts irritate some people, but I think it's cool to see others with the same thoughts. According to nik's post, I wasn't the first to think of it either...
I guess we can just bump the post I have linked to get the attention of the Serato team. From what I understand, they watch for the requests people ask for the most.
