Does using video-SL affect recording within a 57?

Does using video-SL affect recording within a 57?

Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone else has any experience recording a live set at a gig and used video-sl at the same time. At my weekly gig, I spin video but I'd like to record a 1-hour set for promo using the 57 soundcard. Is using video-SL going to affect the quality of the sound recording?

it should record fine as long as the audio attached to your videos is of a high enough quality...

i've done it plenty of times fine no problem. make sure your computer is above spec and i heard it helps even more if your content files are stored on an external drive. that way the laser isn't writing (recording) and pulling big video files at the same time.. 2 drives do the work
