UPDATE HELP!
Talk about Rane's Mixers for Serato Scratch Live:
the Sixty-Eight, Sixty-Two, Sixty-One, and the TTM 57SL.

I downloaded the newest firmware for my 57 and the update is unusualy taking long. I followed the troubleshoot instructions (restarting the update) but its still taking too long. its been 2 hours and the progress bar hasn't evn moved yet. Is this normal? If not, what should I do? HELP!......

don't panic,
close ssl
open ssl
the update should go straight through

One of the (many) things Rane have got spot on with the TTM 57SL is that the firmware update cannot break the mixer. Even if you have a power failure in the middle of an update or you pull the USB cord or the computer crashes.

The update takes less than 30 seconds.

ive restarted it 7x already but it just says updating and it freezes. nothinggs happening. the 7th time is on for 20mins now. :-(

On the mixer are all the kill lights lit?
What happens if you reboot the mixer?

yeah, all the lights are lit. if i reboot the mixer, everythings still lit

problem fixed. had to use a friends laptop to continue the update. Im glad nothing happened to the mixer.

Cool, the mixer is always safe. Hopefully Serato can make the update a bit more reliable for the next firmware release.

yes, i agree. i was in state of shock when it happened. lol.
