CrossFader on My TTM57 STIFF

ok so i got on my mixer today and noticed the cross fader was acting stiff an no longer smooth so i took the faceplate off and noticed what seemed to be the bottom part of the tension spring seemed to be scraping along the rail causing the stiffness.. Any of you guys had this problem?? do i need to maybe lube it or what could anybody recommend...

Try this mod. It is really harmless and I love it so much. Can be reversed any time.

Make sure the spring isn´t touching the rail from above.
