Think I need a new mixer

Lando 3:58 PM - 18 September, 2006
Need inputs fellas. I'm trying to get the most out of this EFX 500. Problem: My mixer (NUMARK DXM PRO) doesn't have the needed send and return jacks. Which mixers would you all recommend??
Monk-A 4:00 PM - 18 September, 2006
well mate it all comes down to how much you have to spend....

I say this to a lot of guys but head over to www.skratchlounge.com and ask a few questions there. Gizmo etc... really know their technical stuff..
tig ol' bitties 4:01 PM - 18 September, 2006
the ttm56 has seperate send return switches.
AMF 4:31 PM - 18 September, 2006
ttm56

Any thoughts on the Mackie D.2 2 Channel DJ Mixer with FireWire Option??
Konix 4:38 PM - 18 September, 2006
Try and get your 707 back, it has a send/return.
djmel 4:58 PM - 18 September, 2006
vestax 07 pro dont matter what color or series)
rane ttm56 or 57
or any pioneer 500 series on up if not mistaken.

are shit :)

the 08 is nice though, but the other vestax have had their day in the sun...and the 07 don' have a send/return for individual channels - i think.

Nah. The 07 doesn't have send/return. And it sucks compared to plenty of other mixers out there.
a-swift 8:24 PM - 18 September, 2006
ttm56 or ttm57
grrillatactics 9:17 PM - 18 September, 2006
I would love to try out one of those new Vestax 08's, but I liked my 56 when I had one, and love my 57 now. I also like the Pioneer 909, but if you have one of those, the efx-500/1000 becomes a bit redundant. The 707 was a great mixer, though, expecially at that price point.

Some people really like them, but I always get a bad vibe when I try out those Mackie D.2 mixers. I would probably not buy one of those.
Dj Ryme 10:42 PM - 18 September, 2006
remember when vestax was on top?
mister iLL 10:49 PM - 18 September, 2006
ttm56
Lando 2:19 AM - 19 September, 2006
So, I've got six hits for the Rane 56.
digital_steve 2:24 AM - 19 September, 2006
Allen & Heath Xone:62 ... WOOOOOOOO!
Lando 3:55 AM - 19 September, 2006
Impressive Steve, but I still need a battle mixer, it is more like a battle ship
digital_steve 3:57 AM - 19 September, 2006
Fair enough!
It's got sends on each channel though... I'm not a scratcher (i play minimal tech) so i can't help to much with a battle mixer.
Do battle guys use FX much?
DjEmmTee 4:12 AM - 19 September, 2006
im selling an 04 vestax 07 pro if u want it, pm me! i have used an efx 500 and 1000 with both the 07 and the ttm 56 they both work fine with it.

how did you rig it up to effect individual channels?
Lando 3:37 AM - 20 September, 2006
Problem solved. Getting em both. Know anyone who might want a "fresh out of the box" Numark DXMPro?? Don't all say "Yes" at once.....
digital_steve 3:30 AM - 21 September, 2006
A better idea is to sell your EFX500

.... to me :)
djmel 5:10 PM - 21 September, 2006
i got a ttm56 , u cant lose with it but like i said im not sure what your budget is.

DJ Nevoc 6:05 PM - 21 September, 2006
vestax pro 08!!!
birdbrain 6:42 PM - 21 September, 2006
i love my 07 but vestax mixers have gone downhill lately. if i need to replace it it will be a 56 or 909. 07s are not good for people who want to use effects on just one channel seeing as theey dont have a send and return.
DJ Nevoc 6:48 PM - 21 September, 2006
the 08 you can do so many things with the effects its really unreal!
DJ Evil One 10:40 PM - 21 September, 2006
ttm56. i've got two of them. hooray beer.
DJ Nevoc 10:51 PM - 21 September, 2006
hooray beer!!!
djmel 4:56 PM - 25 September, 2006
u can run it thru a pionoeer 909 and use some y adapters to get the job done( dj chris jazz on here showed me this the effects are insane on that mixer ) need more help let me know....oh and hooray beer!!!(i like henikens and tequiza and coronas)
yo evil one u crazy god!!! ahahahhahhahhahaha :@)

Had to step to the Mackie after "test drive" @ Chuck Levin's
DeezNotes 6:56 AM - 4 October, 2006
After using the Mackie a little bit I don't really like it as much as I thought I would. They came really close, but its ALMOST right.
djmel 4:33 PM - 4 October, 2006
just get a ttm56 or ttm57
