Need inputs fellas. I'm trying to get the most out of this EFX 500. Problem: My mixer (NUMARK DXM PRO) doesn't have the needed send and return jacks. Which mixers would you all recommend??

I say this to a lot of guys but head over to www.skratchlounge.com and ask a few questions there. Gizmo etc... really know their technical stuff..

the 08 is nice though, but the other vestax have had their day in the sun...and the 07 don' have a send/return for individual channels - i think.

Nah. The 07 doesn't have send/return. And it sucks compared to plenty of other mixers out there.

I would love to try out one of those new Vestax 08's, but I liked my 56 when I had one, and love my 57 now. I also like the Pioneer 909, but if you have one of those, the efx-500/1000 becomes a bit redundant. The 707 was a great mixer, though, expecially at that price point.
Some people really like them, but I always get a bad vibe when I try out those Mackie D.2 mixers. I would probably not buy one of those.

Impressive Steve, but I still need a battle mixer, it is more like a battle ship

Fair enough!
It's got sends on each channel though... I'm not a scratcher (i play minimal tech) so i can't help to much with a battle mixer.
Do battle guys use FX much?

i love my 07 but vestax mixers have gone downhill lately. if i need to replace it it will be a 56 or 909. 07s are not good for people who want to use effects on just one channel seeing as theey dont have a send and return.

After using the Mackie a little bit I don't really like it as much as I thought I would. They came really close, but its ALMOST right.
