That is all.
Actually in all seriousness, i think it's almost crazy enough to work. There's a mini USB slot, can run external power for more juice and has the power of an old laptop.

The USB port on the PSP is a type B port for connection to a computer.
I also doubt that the PSP has enough power to run SSL add that to the low resolution screen and you may as well give up before you've started.

Nice idea, but i think limitations of the PSP's architecture would be the downfall... it doesnt even run GPS software that well...

I'm pretty sure you can get a usb that fits type B to the box, plus you can plug the psp to the charger to get more power like you would wit your laptop and with the low resolution screen, all you need is to diplay the tracks!
This is an awesome idea! having it on a PSP makes it heaps more portable for gign!
Please Rane Serato Creators... make this one happen!!!

This is a stupid idea.
They should really make SSL run from a watch ... that you can talk in to ... like Dick Tracey.

It's not a kiddie toy. Maybe some Numark or Stanton product will announce some product that will run on the PSP.

I just saw a computer watch in New Power Magazine, w/ built-in keyboard and scrolling device. I'll try to get the details later.

i've seen a 7yr old kid use SSL does that make it a kidde toy?
all i'm suggesting is if there is a way SSL can be compatible with the PSP... for portability and possibility backup reasons for gign. It doesnt mean you have to use it, might benefit all the other kiddies out there thats all.
Any constructive criticsm is welcome... if not, I dont see why you'd bother?

It's not really a feature suggestion though, is it?
It's more of a 'write a new program for this' request.
Either way i'm pretty sure that Serato would give it a miss.

there's 4gig memory sticks out now and i'm sure there just gonna keep increasing... there's also nothing wrong with using decent mp3s, you can fit like 1,000 tracks on it.
its just a "back up & portability suggestion" FOR guys that constantly do 2 to 3 gigs nite! son.

i guess is not that simple. Serato has a software, wrote in a programming language, that requires a computer to run. is not easy to make it compatible with another computers (psp, in case). maybe this is possible, but it would require a lot of work and effort from rane/serato.
