so I have VSL now on my mac but pioneer djm600 does not work as a fader for the video. it only controls the sound.
what are my options?

The DJM does not have midi so there is nothing you can do.
If you were an engineer there is talk of converting your digital signals via a "black box" that you could build and then convert that to a midi signal...but at the end of the day it's much simpler to just pick up a DJM 700 or DJM 800.

Besides getting a new mixer (a great idea anyway, since the 600 is a particularly terrible-sounding mixer), you could get an external MIDI controller and/or use the arrow keys on your computer's keyboard to crossfade videos.

thanks. I'm still debating in between selling my djm600 and sl box to buy a 57, or just get the djm700.
It kinda comes out to the same. if I sell my djm600 I'll gte what? 450-500? and then get the djm700 for 1k.
Or sell both the djm600 for $500 and the sl for $450 and invest on the TTM57.
I'm still short $400 regardless. I don't wanna buy a separate midi since usually my gigs require me to bring my coffin and I don't wanna be having extra things laying around my setup.
The TTM57 will let me have a cleaner setup since the SL box and wires will dissapear.
MMMmmmmm.......thinking thinking

Here is the forum where I read about it. After further investigation I am actually not sure that anyone ever did this. In any event it would seem to be much cheaper (and more reliable) to just buy another mixer than to pursue this path.
