Best Mixer to use with scratch live???

DJBEATBREAKER 3:59 PM - 31 August, 2006
I wanted to know which mixer is the best to use with serato. (except rane mixer b/c that is too expensive) i have the Numark DXM 09. Is that good at all?
Dj KaGeN 4:04 PM - 31 August, 2006
pretty any dj mixer works with ssl... your DMX09 is no exception.

This Question Makes no sense what mixer is the best What DJ Kagen said is the best answer your gonna get. but the TTM 57SL is the Best Mixer to use with SSL. Why Because it was designed for it. but all in all any mixer will do!

I have a question to add to this....I own the djm-600. I've used pioneer since the day I started, so it's all I know. I'm looking for a mixer that is in a lower price range than the ttm-56. Any Sugestions? I know vestax is good, which one is best?

I don't know too much about scratch mixers, since I don't really scratch, but I'd like to learn a couple of basics, so this is why I don't want to spend much.

any ideas?

much appreciated....thanx.

I use a vestax mixer which is very dope for scratching, and very affordable too. The PMC models r pimp

my recommendation is to use whatever mixer you like best. i think that will work the best for you.
DJ Liav 12:24 AM - 22 January, 2007
a-swift. Great suggestion....I don't know why i didn't think of that. thanks

Liav. If you can squeeze I would say get the 56 especially if you cut a alot.I've had mine for 4+ years and only had to take it in ONCE for some channel related issues. I'm actually getting a second one soon. The amount of money you will save on faders I tell you. It all adds up!!!
DJ Liav 5:18 AM - 22 January, 2007
I thought about that. Plus, it's RANE! They're the best.

One guy on the forum mentioned that he had a 56 with the ssl box built in. I wonder how hard it is to do.
Jay-R 5:30 AM - 22 January, 2007
realistic mixers.

for you old timers.
DJ Autograph 6:29 PM - 22 January, 2007
HAHAHA. Funny you say that Jay. That was my first mixer. I still have it buried somewhere. After that one got some crappy Gemini with sound effects (you know the one i'm talking about), the the Numark Pro SM1 and finally the TTM 56.

You would have to know what you were doing to build our ssl box in but I can see how that's possible. I wouldn't do it myself though. Still trying to figure out how to ground my tables internally.....
