so i am not sure if this speciffically has been answered since i did search for it with no luck. i am looking for a program like what mixmeister was for music for basic video editing in the same style or control layout for the mac. i have the final cut studio, however it does not accept mp4 as an input file and i dont feel like converting all my vids to dv and taking up double the amount of space if i don't need to. so with standing all the smart ass comments i appreciate in advance your help with suggestions.

I was going to suggest you edit in iMovie but then realized you have PC's. iMovie is soooo simple to edit and it takes mp4's (iMovie 6 HD)

iMovie 6 HD is no longer available. Apple took it down from their server this past year. A couple of months ago I tried to re-install because my hard drive crashed. And had no luck finding a download link. You would have to have a copy of their old disk in order to obtain it. I searched long and hard to find a download link.... but no success. Haven’t tried recently since now all I use is FCP, but Imovie 6 is allot better then any other imovie they have out

one question, did the imovie 6 do the same kind of dialed in pitch control (audio and video) as fcp?
