choosing a microphone.

I started this discussion because i need a microphone, but i don't know what to look for. So i would like your professional opinion on this matter so i can choose the right microphone.

I was noticing that alot of microphones come with xlr cables, and i noticed the plug in the back of the rane mixer that says "microphone" is not a xlr outlet. This is the main reason i opened this discussion, because I didn't want to buy a microphone that would not cooperate with my rane mixer. Also i do not know what specifications to look for.

So go ahead and post what you know from your experiences of using a microphone dj'ing.

Part 1:

I like the Cordless Shure 57.

Part 2:

The cabling is not a problem, I think a lot of wireless mic use both XLR and 1/4",
if not you can buy a cable with female XLR on one end and male 1/4" on the other.

For your Rane mixer you will need type of cable.
1/4" one end and XLR female on the other end.
