you can use a PMP. are you using a mac cause there are a few software options available.

The biggest con is paying for software that should come with it! AAC and other codecs.

are you recording at home or at your gig. I use a jvc dvd recorder. And record straight to dvd. If I don't like the mix I just do it over.I can record from 1hr to 6hr sets. Then I rip the dvd using dvd decryptor and make massive copys.I don't like recording live sets on my mac while djing. It makes me scared that it will crash.
