Kim Hill. Behind the Front is a doppppe album. Just forget the BEP of today and listen to that album. One song on the album they make fun of sellouts stating "You actin like a nigga that be rhymin in a Pringle commercial"

A couple years later they kick Kim Hill out and get that man-looking lady and do a Dr. Pepper commercial.

Actually, Kim Hill left the group back in 2000 to pursue other projects... Fergie wasnt brought into BEP until 2003, when their 2000 album "Bridging The Gap" was considered a commercial failure. It was probably one of those deals like, We got you under contract for a few more albums. Time to go pop or you wont have a career. Since Will.I.Am was already producing records for rock bands and other pop artists, They left the backpacker scene for the pop scene with no question.

That's all i can think of off the top of my head... those BPMs might be 1 or 2 off since i am not looking right at my library. that 110-117 ish range for hip hop is my least favorite. But for old school R&B its gets not better then that area.

Nice on the Man Parish and De La Saturday's. Dropped those last weekend as a matter of fact. Definitely some other gems on this list that I forgot about.

Try some Kid'n'Play and some Big Daddy Kane. Didn't see them mentioned in the thread.

Been looking for King Sun - On The Club Tip for a long time. Used to have the tape but haven't found it digitally yet. Anyone?
