What features would you like to see in Serato software?

I think theres a couple diff. ways this could play out.

1. SSL Rewired like a VST into Ableton.

2. Ableton Decks in SSL (Like Traktor (YEAH I SAID IT!!!) but better BGrids)

3. Ableton Clips in the SP6.

4. SSL able to use FX from Ableton.

5. SSL's Midi Sync "Syncs" with selected clips in Ableton (ex: Left deck BPM is the Master Sync of Clips 1,2,3,4. While Right Deck is Master Sync of Clips 5,6,7,8.

6. Some Sort of SSL & Ableton LIVE Hybrid would be cool. Like in Ableton when you hit tab to switch views a similar shortcut would bring up SSL View.
The only problem I see in that is Possible Performance Issues (Higher Min. Specs). I think Rane could bring out some new hardware for Serato and Ableton. Maybe the SL4, and it'll come equipped with 4 ins/ 4 outs (1 extra output for clip previews/ SP6 output would be hot too).

I know some things sound crazy/ confusing I'm just drooling over the thought of what these guys are cooking up.

What do you guys think?

Just had a dream that SSL was compatible with .asd files and could use abletons warp markers... FREAKY!! anyway, thats another feature... suggested... lol!

Lets all hope they start hyping the features up like pioneer so we can kinda start meaking better guesses at what the darn thing is. January never felt so far away for me lol.

What are some things you think they could do for the partnership? any ideas?

SL integration into Max For Live. (Has anyone met anyone who uses Pinky???)

What DJ_Tech has said about VST effects, I second. Currently I'm doing all kinds on in/out messyness with the SL1 and my Multiface via the EFX sends and a return channel on the mixer. Then in/out of Ableton via External Effect to a KP3. Latency? Yeah, just a bit! Unworkable for a live set-up and tbh, a trial and error experiment in the studio. Please make it happen 'in-the-box', guys!

I think it will be a an upgrade package or add on we will have to buy and i think it wont be launched till march we will all just be teased in January I am told by one of the beta tester that it is awesome and will be well worth it and he uses it this way

Whatever happens it is exciting
