It would be really nice if SSL supported the vci (and other itch controllers) for platter control in ssl.
Basically giving us the option to use an itch controller in conjunction with SL1 and mixer to have a nice compact unit capable of doing video .

Since ITCh is 1 to 1 , this would allow advanced users to play using an itch controller .

More for the option to allow the use of video SL. for itch controllers.

Maybe the DN-HC5000... I'm about ready to get dirty into Serato & Denon (S1200 support HD2500 as an Itch device....) with my trusty digital oscilloscope and hex editor :-D

How do you want use a VCI with an external mixer?

instead of having 2 1200's and a mixer you have the vci and your mixer(with the sl1 hooked up to the mixer).


On the vci
--platters and loop points and pitch act as they should(controlling the audio).
--the crossfader controls the video fade
--the up faders could be effects(of the vci eq knobs)

you could still add a second controller for more midi mapping functions.

as it goes itch wants to keep a 1-1 hardware to software but allowing vci to control alongside scratch live opens up new possibilities.

interesting but the denon dn 1000s fills this nicely..will except for the platter pitch idea but isn't that what your turntables/cdj decks are for?

if you dont want to use them then maybe buy a vci 300 or NS7?

Actually I am betting that Serato cares alot BUT has contractual agreements with Rane that says ScratchLive and Rane have to be paired together.

Thats why they came out with Itch.

The only hope we have for ScratchLive is that Rane comes out with a NS7 type device at NAMM.
