New Macbook Pro Connection choice Problem

I just got a Macbook Pro 17" with
4G Ram DDR3
500G HD
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
Planning to run external hard drive with Firewire & upgrade to 8G Ram DDR3 soon...
With all this i am slumpt with the connection choice for my video output.
1. The output as ya'll know is Mini Displayport. I want to use the most simple connection possible which is S-Video, if not mistakend S-Video is an RCA connection right?
2. Is there a Mini Displayport to S-Video, i'm not seein any available. PLAN B would be to buy the Mini Displayport - DVI & connect a DVI - Video Adapter which has both Composite and S-Video
Here are the 2 links with the connections, any help would be appreciated, have just over 6TB of Videos and cant do anything with them. HEELLPPP
Thanks

Well DVJ Red you may be in for a bit of a surprise...That Macbook Pro you have only outputs a DIGITAL signal. That is why you cannot find a mini-display port to composite/svideo like was offered with the pre-unibody MBPs.
You will need something that converts the digital signal to analog as the MBP's no longer do so. There is a thread around here, I think I started it, with some options and explanations.

Could you direct me to the thread please or show a link where the digital will go to analog. And do i buy the Mini Displayport with the DVI or VGA connection.
Thanks Dude

I think both...But if i am to guess i would think more MP4, cause when i was getting them MP4 came up in the conversation. But they work smoothly though, very high quality....thats all that matters

You're gonna have a lot of reading but I guess here's what you'll need.
If you just want to feed into your HD TV you can buy this along with an HDMI cable.
www.monoprice.com
If you're gonna use it with a projector or other VGA, S-Video or composite (Yellow), you need to buy this from Apple.
store.apple.com
then you will need this.
www.newegg.com
or this
www.svideo.com
or this
www.newegg.com
or this
www.amazon.com
You should buy the very 1st one and test your VSL on your HD TV. Once your ready to take VSL to a gig then you can buy a projector and buy Apple's Mini Display Port to VGA adapter (MB572) and one of the other alternatives. The NewEgg seems to be the better one.
Good luck & here are some links for you to read.

It will work only if you need to convert VGA out to Component.
If that's the case then you will need to buy this as well.
store.apple.com
Your better off with this though because it has that as well as S-Video & RGB outputs.

Red and i live in the same town and part of the same crew.
we have shloads of video. most of them are mp4. i am at about 8TBs.
he has not bought any hd vids as far as i know.
Red, you already have a pc to tv converter and s-vid is not rca.
do you want rca or s-vid?
also, it would probably help to know exactly what your plugging into and what the connection is.

......aammm.....i real dont know who tomatoslice is though. Kinda lost right now, i dont think i'm the same "RED" you talking about........
Anyway i would like flexibility of multiple connections, most likely buying the www.newegg.com cause it can support both connections for Flatpanel TV's & Projectors. Anybody has any suggestions on some clean picture Projectors for outside use, thats not too pricey. Was checking out some sony's on Amazon
