Just thought i'd let you all know how hard it was for me to get a audio dropout!
I am running SSL on my desktop
P4 2.8Ghz
512mb Ram
USB buffer set to the lowest it goes
screen update 30
Whilst spinning in the house i thought i'd try to see if i could get a dropout so with SSL running i signed into msn messenger and was chatting with my mate, had camfrog running, i had stuff d/l and i was un-raring a 4GB file whilst doing all of this SSL still was working fine until my girl signed in msn and tried video calling me at which point i got a audio dropout
Now believe me when i say i'm impressed when i was using FS on the same PC i would shut everything down and i was still getting constant dropouts
To sum up i would just like to say Rane & Serato you have done an amazing job!!

your screen update seems low.. wonder if you bumped it up how long it would hang on for?

because of the way my equipment is setup my PC is behind me so the screen rate doesn't really matter at the min as turn round ever min aint no good, of course once i get a new lappy i'll be increasing it as the lappy will be going on a shelf just above the mixer
But even is the screen rate is low thats still quality, i mean un-raring stuff normally eats the CPU right up
i also forgot to mention that i also never turned off blueyonder pc guard, which to those of you not in the UK is a firewall, anti-spyware and anti-virus
When i used FS if i left the pc guard on only one deck would work, strange!!
What do you recommend having the screen update set to?
thanks, i'm new
