Hope they at least have it so you can use your browser's "back" button" and cut down on some of the interface-annoyance.

Knowing NI has a hand in the design doesn't leave me hopeful though.

So true, I'm hoping they're updateing their server so at least you can listen to samples that load quickly... I'd be happy with just this. Beatport is just sooo sloowww!

I think you guys are really spoiled. Slow...<sigh> how about taking a train down to Satellite from the boogie on a friday afternoon, digging in random bins, listening to 100-200 songs and buying 10 over a period of 6 hrs.

I find it slow at times, I have to refresh the page to get it to load quickly again & again then I loose my spot and have to rebrowse... I'd buy more from there if it wasn't so slow...

BTW Just had a quick look and they've added some new features and looks a bit dif and maybe loads faster. My prayers may have been answered...

yeh this sucks that you still have to buy everything in your cart.. they need to give you the option of what you want to actually buy and what you want to save on your list.. grrrrrr

A few weeks ago, I ran into that situation. I tried flipping to the one-click buying option, but that didn't work...not sure if this would work on single releases, but I tried to buy a full album with the one-click and it didn't work. I just bit the bullet and bought my entire crate. Wanted to make sure I snagged that Global Underground Vol. 10 for something like $0.50 a track...some nice classics on that 2-disc unmixed collection.

yeh you know what i have 2 accounts for that very purpose but now both of them have bulging carts.. i speant an hour last night deleting stuff from a cart

..the new site seems to be a little faster though so thats good.. and the searching is much nicer..overall a nice improvement

I don't think I'd want to bother with two accounts...having all your records on one account is nice so you don't do double-takes. ;)

P.S. - For anyone who doesn't do this already, download from Beatport with FireFox or something with download management. Can't believe I didn't wise-up early on, but IE and Beatport is hell.

Here's a good tip...

To use beatport as a wishlist:

- Load up crate with tracks as a wishlist
- When your ready to buy, change your preferences to instant download
- Click buy to instantly buy track and then it's ready for download
- Dont forget to change back to traditional crate checkout

Not sure if you get charged extra conversion fees...

Yeah I thought instant download would work for single tracks, but it didn't work for an album purchase. Oh well...diggin' the extra results per page, even though it still windows itself...

Just loaded up 100 artists in My Beatport this is real cool & there's a dot that tells you the artist has a release in the last 7 days... Do the same with labels and its happy browsing for the weekend!!!

And 100 is the max! I was going to keep going...

They get .wav's from the studios...they offer these for a bit of a premium, or you can get 320kbps MP3's made from those files using LAME 3.96 or much smaller (IIRC) 128kbps MP4's (but why?).
