Hi everyone, I've been reading the whole forum looking for answers and to make a decision. I'm not a professional DJ like most of you here, but I've been DJing for the fun of it to almost all my family and friend's special ocasions.
I currently own is a Powerbook 1.3ghz setup with Megaseg and thousands of Mp3s alone with a pair of JBL 15" speakers and a very powerfull AMP. I'm trying to put together a nice setup and I've noticed the great features that scratch live has to offer and I'm very impressed.
I read and saw the Rane mixers (TTM 57) doing its thing with scratch live, but they're so expensive. What would you guys recommend I get as far as Mixer goes? Should I just go with any mixer and get scratch live? I ordered a pair of Denon DNS3000 CD/MP3 players, to get me started, but again I'm missing a mixer... Please tell me what you think I should do here.
Thanks in advance,
Dannye

well it all boils down to what you want to do.
I'd recommend you head over to here: www.skratchlounge.com
and ask Gizmo etc... their thoughts. It can come accross as abit of a scratch nerd site but there's a lot of guys on there that will give you a decent answer no matterwhat your into.

Seeing how you ordered the 3000's, Denon's own website refers to the DN-X300 as the perfect mixer to go with those tables...

Would I be able to add scratch live to this setup?

any mixer, any turntables should work fine with ssl. the denon dnx-300 is a decent mixer. if you can find that urei for $299 though, and it FITS where you need it to, you really can't go wrong for $299.

Hope that was a really good move, now I'm looking forward to buy SSL, anyone knows where I can get a really good price on them?

The unanimous answer is going to be agiprodj.com
Justin is the guy you'll talk to; he's a good guy; that spot has the best prices on almost everything; authorized dealer too.
