Is it just me or have the topics become more and more about things other than dj'ing? In the past I've found several answers to questions that I had in my Serato rookie days. But now, threads about so many other things besides dj'ing have taken over as of late...

Just one man's opinion. Please feel free to offer your take on this as well, without the sarcasm either... Seems like every thread is full of that lately...

Thats why I hardly visit the forum these days.
DJ Limelight 6:53 AM - 7 August, 2006
Yeah... a lot of bullsh*t sometimes too. Some of which I've been a participant in.
DJ_Mike_Coquilla 7:02 PM - 7 August, 2006
u mean like this? www.scratchlive.net
Dj K.Smith 7:14 PM - 7 August, 2006
Wow Mike you'd put yourself out there like that? I guess that would be a good example... But I know first hand you're a good dude so you get a pass. Just lately I'm looking at thread titles and nothing is really jumping out as important information to know... For a while there were informative and interesting topics in here for days...

Has the well run dry?

I like the various topics....it allows for personalities to show, and for people to not be so serious all of the time.

I for one truly appreciate some of the off topic convo's.

I believe it clearly states the following:

Talk about using Scratch LIVE, and digital DJing in general.

if the software had more problems, more people would be talking about serato here. seriously.
Dj K.Smith 8:09 PM - 7 August, 2006
Sixxx is on point... Not that I'm a hard ass but at the same time its not so serious when you've come up with a way to play cd's and Serato (Thanks again Mike C...) or when you get a lesson in being the early dj... I actually took from that thread to have my non-heaters in crates I call "Early Set 1,2,& 3"... to get me through until I can just go hard for the rest of the night (1-3 hours if needed...)

Things like those and several others are what made me bcome so addicted because I wanted to keep my game up to par with the true pros who have ben doing this fo so much longer than I have...

Each one Teach one... Right?!?!?!

also you got the tips and tricks section which pretty much keeps it on topic. if you don't believe me, go ask NIK###

furthermore, part of djing IS shit talking, talking about boobs, pooping, bragging, hating, respecting, etc. we got lives outside of the game ya know.
Dj K.Smith 8:26 PM - 7 August, 2006
Player I feel that, and in no way am I saying not to do you... It just seemed to me that for a while we were really putting some good information out in HERE as it pertained to the art and science of freaking the 1's and 2's.... Hence the title of this thread has anyone else noticed that pooping, hating, DIS-respecting, etc has been on the upswing and sharing, teaching, learning, etc has declined???

Feel me?

^^ luvin that forum name handle ;)
Dj K.Smith 9:24 PM - 7 August, 2006
Wow... I guess another topic could be:
...."Why don't cats stay on the topic posted and if they disagree then don't feel obligated to reply"...

All this topic is saying is that has Anyone Else Noticed....PERIOD... I'm getting cats sounding like they wanna do me dirty because I posted this topic... I'm fully aware of other sections that exist on here... That's never been in question... I guess it's just sad that if we don't have anything to say we begin to say whatever we want to and don't care what it sounds like...

Basic human respect for one another (Dj's too) I guess could be another topic thread...

Been here for less than half a year & so cant say ive noticed.....I tell you what though if it werent for the extra b.s. I probably wouldnt frequent the sight as much. if this place was strictly about ssl then it would feel to much like a place of employment........

As far as the learning goes even though theres topics like "I pee sitting down", its still pretty easy to find answers to questions.....
