So my laptop has 2 video outs. HDMI, and a VGA. The projector at the club I work at is a little older and has RCA inputs and an S-Video input. So I ordered 4 VGA adapters (I ordered 4 just to have a few extras). On one side you have a male VGA plug to go into the laptop. On the other you have a single video RCA, and an S-Video plug. When I come out of the HDMI to my tv at home, the extended display is great. When I come out of the VGA with a VGA cable, the display is great. When I try to use the adapter, either with S-Video or the RCA, I get no picture at all! I have an HD ATI Video Card. When I have the HDMI plugged in or the VGA cable plugged in, the computer will recognize the "monitor" which is the tv. When I use the VGA adapter, the computer detects a signal there, but it just calls it a "default VGA monitor". I've tried all types of resolutions and refresh rates. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to make the adapter work? Any comments are appreciated!
Thanks
