If this has been covered in the past I apologize, everything a search is showing me revolves around just audio licensing.
I know with audio, the venue is responsible typically for BMI / ASCAP / etc licensing. Is it the same with video? Does the venue need to pay for some different license or are they okay with their standard license?
Is ripping a dvd the same considered legal? I'd assume that the standard rights would prohibit public exhibition but figured it's a question worth digging into. One could potentially use a netflix account for more than movies provided they even carry music videos.
