those crap ass illegal files have those over gained random people yelling on them out of beat. I was at a party and this CDJ was playing some of those tracks and they were doing that, and he was nodding his head like they were his drops, what a fucking loser, spinning dirty ass music. jesus!

Not only is it annoying as hell, but most of the time the volume of the drop sounds about 20 db louder than the music and distorted like a motherfu*ker....it's O.K. to do a drop, but preferably during your intro and maybe during the outro, but not on every damn cut, what gets me is that these guys are "professionals" so to speak but it sounds like they are using a $10.00 sampler to pop their drop in!.....you would think they would know it sounds like sh*t and either stop doing it as much or at least record their voice on SERATO and "scratch" drop it in....DAMN! CLUE CLUE CLUE CLUE........man FU*K that retarded SH*T!........
O.K. I'm done....why did you have to get me started?
P.S. Ya think Fergies "London Bridge" is gonna be a banger? I like it.

I hate these dirty drops as much as everyone else, but these guys are crazy successful. They get ALL the exclusives first and they only drop their name all over the track so the tracks dont get jacked. Its workin pretty well cause you cant really jack any of their stuff when they're shoutin out their grandma.
From a "who's more known" standpoint, these guys are doin their thang, more people know Clue and Kay Slay who have ZERO skills than people who know Rectangle or Spinbad. I guess I cant really hate, I'd rather be wack ass DJ Clue than me (from a DJ perspective).

I use drops for my mix show. Just as an example I have been breaking out P. Novakane - Me & U for a few weeks and his label finally sent us a drop for our Radio Station, so in the intro of his song I play the drop. I'd say 99% of the drops I either get from the record labels or do myself just letting the listener know what I'm mixing into.
Some people don't realize on Radio on Avg only 2% of your listeners will just call in. Of those 2% that call at leatst 80% are requests. So I like to let our listeners know what new music is coming out, so when they do call in our PD (Program Director) sees that hey this new track is getting alot of requests lets start playing it.
However I do my mixshows just before they go on air, as its company policy. I'd rather go back through the whole mix and make sure there are no F-Bombs dropped. I also take any spot where I add in a drop, and take the Volume from the mix down to like 66%
Hey you may be thinking, well fuck NeV dude he wont mix live on the air. Well I tell ya I don't have an extra $250,000 to pay the FCC for every F-Bomb that gets dropped.
I've got about 50% of my tracks labeled well enough I know which ones I need to edit and which ones I don't. The reason I don't just clean up my tracks so I wouldn't have to go back through and edit them, is because when I play the clubs I like to keep the remixes as original as possible.
Back to the above comments, I totally agree with you guys on hating the DJ CLUE CLUE CLUE CLUE CLUE CLUE stuff. Or all the Hip Hop/Rap Tracks I get where the first 30-45 seconds is nothing but 334 in the house, east side!!, Tyte Wurk, SuPR KalA Records... ETC ETC! Nothing more anoying then trying to do a request for some one and you may have never heard this track before and searching for that 1 beat. And what gets me is they stick the 1 beat right in the middle of all the drops and the drops are never on beat.

Most annoying drop?
Mike Jones.... Please... drop it once - not 3000 times before you start your damn song...
Ok, he's not a DJ but he still annoys the HELL out of me...

I just got a memo from my stations program director. The new fine is 325,000 and the talent responsible can also be fined $32,500 for on-air bombs.
Our shows are delayed five minutes.

i respect him for getting his cheddar on but a pioneer? ron g's a pioneer, clue in his own way, kid capri, stretch armstrong, etc are pioneers.. i admit that slay has been doin his shit for awhile but he's just a logical descendent of all other fantastic mixtape djs that were blowin up before him.

i hate Primo's drops; I'm assuming you're referring to the same p-p-p-p-p-p-premier drop he was using on the 5 Deadly Venoms mixtape, I think that drop sucks.
