Approach their spin time with earnest passion
Are grateful to be doing what they're doing
Have a sense of value and fairness and don't give away their talents without compensation but don't try to run people out of house and home
Are respectful to the DJ before and after them by greeting them, sharing the space in the booth equally and showing overall courtesy
Don't let a bad night get them down
Don't let a bad patron ruin their flow
Can express their personal taste and style while accomodating the crowd
Plays dancehall/reggae any time of the night ;)

... don't clip by staying in the reds.
... demonstrate love for the music over themselves.
... can make me enjoy a genre I usually dislike.

-that aren't afraid to battle
-back up their shit talk
-realize that healthy competition/criticism is necessary for the advancement of the artform
-figures out a way out to stand out from a sea of emcees - remember, emcees backed US up when hip hop began, not the other way around
-like me back, cause i'm so ill
-dj's who aren't afraid sometimes to only play what they like (sometimes you gotta be a dick and cater to yourself and the enlightened few)
-realize that technical advacement is a blessing, not a curse
