The DJ in the Let's Dance video by Lady Gaga doesn't have a mixer. He's got 2 technics decks and a blank white sheet in the middle of them. It just some sort of blank white panel with a martini glass sitting on it and he's faking the funk by putting his hands on the record.

It's alright when the headphone "placement" just kind of works with the video concept. But sometimes you can just tell that the director had his video treatment all tight and then started shooting it and someone came in and said, "oh yeah, by the way,.. you MUST get these stupid ass headphones in your video".

then it looks kind of silly and i'm like, why are the headphones in this video.

Feist - 1234 video is waaaay better. That video was done with a single continuous take. The ENTIRE video. Watch that video and be amazed at what the production team was able to do from roll tape to cut without stopping action. Freaking amazing. In the Flashdance video by Irene Cara, the video is entirely made of footage from the Movie and doesn't show Irene Cara at all. Also, the breakdance scene that was part of her audition in the movie, was done by Crazy Legs of the Rock Steady Crew in disguise.

i just bought a portable car jumpstarter battery thing at costco!

I just noticed that Turbo from the Breakin' movies is in Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" video.

Also there's a short clip right before the cop comes out and dance where Lionel has a tiny piece of white fuzz in his hair.
