Anybody having problems with the 1.9.1 upgrade?

For some reason after the upgrade some of my videos don't show up in my iTunes playlist inside Scratch Live. They do appear in iTunes. It seems that SSL won't recognize the files unless they have been played in iTunes first.
In SSL most of my video playlist were blank, so I close SSL and open iTunes. In iTunes I played all the files of one of my video playlist. Closed iTunes and opened SSL, and magically my video files showed up.
I don't know if this is a bug, or if I have to play every single video file in iTunes first in order to have them show up in my video palylist inside SSL.
I didn't have this problem before i upgraded to 1.9.1.
Any help, comments, will be greatly appreciated.
By the way, before anybody ask:
Macbook Pro 2.4ghz , 4GB of Ram, Leopard 10.5.7. with Video SL 1.1.

I'm having the same issue, albeit with audio files (ALAC). My iTunes library has thousands of newly encoded songs in, but only a few hundred are showing in SSL.
Err, exact same specs as coax, strangely enough.

All of the video files that I haven't played in iTunes don't show up in my iTunes playlist inside SSL. Any file that I have previously played in iTunes will show up inside SSL iTunes playlist.

It's really weird. Before the update I didn't have to play a video file in iTunes in order for the video file the show up in my video playlist inside SSL. I organize my video playlists in iTunes and I will play my files directly from this playlists once I am inside SSL. You know... normal standard procedure. But know SSL is refusing to acknowledge my video files. Funny thing is that the actual title for the playlist does shows up, but without the actual video files names, just the playlist name with no video track names.

What happens if you turn off and then turn on again the iTunes Library importing from the setup screen?

HI coaxialav, If Glenn suggestion doesn't work could you please do the following?
Find the names of some of the videos that aren't loading, and post them?
Then upload your itunes xml to here www.serato.com. You will find the itunes xml file in the iTunes folder title "iTunes Music Library.xml". Hopefully we can get the same results you are and find a solution to the issue.
Also was iTunes running at the same time as Scratch Live or had you closed iTunes then opened Scratch Live?
Thanks :)

Please also make sure that you don't play the video in iTunes between locating it and uploading the XML file.
Could you also please let us know which version of iTunes you're using? It may only happen with certain iTunes versions.
deejaysomething, how new are your "newly encoded" ALAC files, do you know which version of iTunes you were using when you encoded them? Does the problem occur if you try this with files encoded using your current version?

Hi James M.
I already uploaded my iTunes XML file to the website, after I played every single video file in my iTunes library. Like I said before, strangely enough, now they all show up in side SSL iTunes playlist.
If I previously play the file in iTunes, the file does show up inside SSL iTunes playlist, if it is not previously played at least one time in iTunes, the file won't show up.
I had to go and play every single video file inside iTunes just to make sure they will show up inside SSL iTunes playlist.
Also, I forgot to mentioned that my files are store in a external hard drive ( LACIE 500GB firewire\800 75000 rpm ). I don't know is that matters at all, because I never had this issue before the upgrade to 1.9.1 or the upgrade to iTunes 8.2.1.
I think this has to be an Issue with iTunes ( most likely ) because some of my custom ringtones also disappeared.
I hope you guys can take a look at that iTunes XML file and compare it with the previous one.
I appreciate the help.

Andy, the files were encoded yesterday, in my current version of iTunes (I'm not in front of my laptop right now, but I'll post definitive version info later).
Once a file has been played in iTunes (for some time, not just skipped past) it generally appears in SSL.

More new on the missing files issue.
It's definitely an iTunes 8.2.1 issue. I added some audio files to iTunes to play on SSL and also on Traktor Pro. Neither program was able to recognize the audio files on their respective iTunes playlists.
I first tried to see the playlist with the new audio files with SSL. The audio files didn't appear in the playlist. I closed SSL and tried to see if the files would show up inside Traktor Pro iTunes Playlist, but Traktor was not able to create a link to the audio files and they showed up as missing files.
I closed Traktor Pro, opened up iTunes and quickly played all the new audio files. I then closed iTunes and opened SSL, and guess what, the audio files showed up.
I closed SSL and open Traktor Pro and the audio files were recognized with no problem.
It's definitely not an 1.9.1 issue with SSL or Video SL. It's an issue with iTunes 8.2.1.
Audio and video files need to be played by iTunes in order for iTunes to create a link to the file, otherwise the file will not be recognize by a third party software. So far that's my take on the issue.
Why is iTunes doing this? Maybe you guys can figure it out and let me know.
Thanks for your help.

Here's something that might work, I haven't tried it in this case but it generally seems to help when iTunes just needs to update its view of a files state:
- Select all tracks in your Music library within iTunes.
- Right click and select "Get Info..." (click through the warning dialog if this comes up)
- When the track info panel comes up, click Ok. WARNING: do not click anything else first, change here will apply to all of your tracks.
- Repeat this process for your "Movies" library or anywhere else you have tracks that aren't part of "Music".
Any luck?

My issue (which became more serious than described here) seems to have been related to a corruption somewhere in my ScratchLIVE folder; rebuilding that has fixed it. Coax, you might want to try that, though probably not until you have to. I was able to resurrect my crates though.

I have had no issues (two 5 hour video sets) with 1.9.1. Its nice and the bug fixes make me happy.
