Noob scratch/crossfader 57 question

How do I get the video crossfading (with a 57) to act the same as the audio crossfading?
Right now if I'm playing a video on the right deck, if I start playing something on the left deck and scratch it in, any fader movement (with the slope set to FAST) causes the video playback on the right deck to dissapear.. whereas with a normal audio scratch setup even with the fader on fast if you put the fader in the middle you will hear both decks playing.
any ideas?

goto the VSL set-up section and there are FADER contour options.... you can either have it so that the VSL curve is the same as what it set on the 57 slider or use the software sliders to overide the 57's setting.
play about with them and you'll find what works for you...

it also depends on what transition effect you have loaded.... i.e 'scratch' will cut the vids like you are describing but 'default' will fade them together etc.....

hmm I have it set to mimic the 57 sliders and I tried scratch and default.. with either the same thing happens, as soon as I move the fader the slightest bit away from the playing deck, that video disappears and ONLY the other decks video shows up..

I think I use the software siders set to slow rather than VSL using the 57 slider setting and have the 57 slider set to fast for audio....and dont have an issue...
I'll double check when I get home from work as I've not changed them for ages, but try that set-up and see if it works for you.
