I run a 2.3 dual with 4 gigs of ram and nvidia 8400ms video card. i can run VSL fine without glitches (so far) using effects etc. running it at i "best" i notice my FPS never really goes above 30 and usually stays around 23ish but it looks fine on the tv. what are your FPS?

On a amd 2.6 quad core with 3 gigs of ram, 9800gt video card, Best output without any effects runs about 37-40 fps (with 2 videos playing crossfader in the middle). Windows XP, PC.

my buddy just got a quad with nvidia 9600 in it and i checked his fps and there up at like 80ish running 2 videos no effects. i notice when you add effects they lower more. is fps a concern with vsl if the output looks ok?

Mac 50-30fps. Never drops under 30fps on med-high. On my XPS it was 30-40 sometimes dropping to 25. Man i DoNot miss my PC

Fps are always a concern. It's like a record that might skip when you playout. Fingers crossed. That's no way to perform...

i guess i'll just stick with what i'm using now then and put vsl on the shelf to watch. it just doesn't make sense how i can run video FLAWLESSLY with a competitors program (cue) with countless effects going cutting, scratching, back cuing etc. using less resources and noticeably sharper output on screen. thanks for your replies.
