What Are Everyones Favorite Effects

Two part question:

1) What are everyones favorite effects to mix from one video to the next

2) What is your favorite effects for individual videos?


1) Personally - I use the grids most of the time...I have experiemented a bit with other effects and some of them are tougher to use in for a video mix effect. Since I am using keyboard for the effects, i will do a quick tap to get 4 or more boxes on screen, then as I mix, I like to get 2 videos playing at the same time by tapping it again real quick. Then when I am done, I will go all the way over

2) I like the flash on bpm as my fav effect. I also like the effect that splits the video into 3 sections (especially good for videos that have less movement and more story telling)

Those are mine...but I don't think I have experimented as much as possible. I do play with the video effects mid song, just to give it some movement...usually will change it from full screen to something else from verse to chorus, etc...I also like to loop the beginning and end of songs so that they look like they are "dancing" with each other"

1) I like the grids too.

2) For effects I like the bass zoom. Especially with text made through Quartz Composer.

1)Grids to do smooth transitions and also the horizontal 3D screen split when scratching in a song a and really using a lot of the fader.

2)Bass zoom and the effect where its splits the screen into separate vertical columns to make the full picture

now wat do u guys use effects for? like i only use them as a transition tool, do u guys actually use them in the middle of the video?
