I just got a Macbook yesterday. THe reason I got it is because I had my first video gig on Saturday and my pc stopped displaying video halfway through my set. I played everyting off well though. Im glad I had my logo set as my desktop background. By the way, the people at this club were really feeling the video mixing. I was playin alot of old school videos from the 90's. The place was packed. The fact that the video cut out allowed me to switch up the style. Anyway, the Macbook I bought has the 2.16GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo (T7200/T7400), is expandable to 4 gigs of ram, has the Intel GMA 950 video card, and has OS X 10.4 Tiger. I am new to OS X and dont know anything about it. Should I upgrade the os to OS X 10.5? And according to the specs will this computer get me by doing video for awhile?

congrats.

the specs should do it,

but the graphics make me think about it:-(

an upgrade to 10.5 should be ok

I personally would not use that computer for video (or any Macbook). They are not designed for something as user intensive as a live video/audio mixing show. Could it do it...possibly. Could it do it well when you would not have to worry about it crashing and be able to showcase the best resolution videos possible...NO.
