Multi output - different footage

Anyone doing this? For my new show I decided to take abit of a technological leep as it were and have 2 screens joined behind me on the stage and using a splitter and the anamorphic setting stretch 8:3 video over 2 x 4:3 projectors (more info here www.nomek.tv).

I'm basically running 2 different types of video 1024x384 to stretch the full width and 512x384 in conjunction with one of my plugins to push the image to the left of right side. I have also made one other plugin for the show where I can slide the 512:284 image left and right to position manually on the stage.

I do find that if the screen/screens are not directly behind the performer then people get confused so this rig works quite well in that respect. Also its allot of fun as I can sort of battle myself with different clips on either side and juggling looks quite nice aswell.

Question is this) Anyone else doing this and if so what other ideas have you had with this type of show. Bearing in mind im not into using rap videos promo only e.t.c. Im more into creating motion graphics that set on the music?

Havn't got any up. Will try to in the next couple of days. But this is very similair to what coldcut are doing but from the one source. Also kraftwerk use the same projection method.

This may not be relevant to this particular situation, but i thought i'd show you something my close friend does, multi projection events with one source.

Yes I have seen this sort of thing done before. There are a few of the bigger VJ boys doing fully emersive environments from arrays of projectors to full on Dome projections. Also quite a few of the fashion shows user dynamic enviroment screens where the screen changes positions. Kinda limitless in terms of technical posibility but being only one person kinda puts a strain on the demand of time required to not only put this together, keep working as a producer prep for other gigs plus other bits of work I have on to keep the pennies coming e.t.c. ah yes and look after the parrots aswell... Just aren't enough hours in the day dammit...

Had a look at your friends site and v impressed with quality of his content!

Yeah i hear ya. He is lucky enough to have a great team behind him, dreaming up what to do, making the content, letting the team figure the implementation. Some of the After Effects project files are insane resolutions, 10x pal width etc... He has done some beautiful content to aspire too.
